PARCEL delivery company Interlink Express has taken 8,500 sq ft of industrial space at Gladedale Capital and Yorvale Developments’ Saturn Court at North Tyneside’s Orion Business Park.

King Stuge, joint agents with GVA Grimley, successfully let units 2 and 3 Saturn Court to Interlink on a ten-year lease on behalf of the developer.

Interlink is relocating to Saturn Court from its existing base at North Tyne Industrial Estate.

Richard Durham, manager of Interlink, said: “The units at Saturn Court will provide us with more space for our expanding depot.”

“The property also benefits from better access to the A19 for our delivery radius, which goes as far as North Northumberland.”

Saturn Court is part of the highly-successful Orion Business Park, located at the junction of the A19 and the A1058 Coast Road. The development consists of 11 high specification units ranging from 3,500 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft which are available to buy or let.

The scheme follows Gladedale/Yorvale’s successful Neptune Court development, which offers a similar range of units and is now 80% occupied. The developments have attracted a number of small-to-medium sized North Tyneside businesses including Orion Cash & Carry, PW Kitchens, Rockbit Ltd, Parmley Technologies and PPD Digital Print.

Martin Smith, development director at Gladedale Capital, said: “There is a clear need for high-quality commercial space in the North Tyneside area, highlighted by the success of Neptune Court and now Saturn Court.

“Orion Business Park has undergone substantial change over the last five years and we are pleased to have played such a key role in creating modern, functional accommodation which is helping bring new, high-quality jobs to the area.”
