GOWARM, a Governmentfunded project that helps people to properly insulate their homes, has taken on six members of staff.
The organisation is working with a number of local authorities in the North-East to deliver a target of 180,000 assessments on homes and helping 81,000 families with benefits advice over a three year period.
Lisa Ridley, Adele Ramshaw, Mel Green and Andrew Cunningham join as administration assistants.
Steward Livingstone joins as IT manager and Mike Jones as senior IT assistant.
Director Karen Hindhaugh said: "The new intake of staff has strengthened not only our numbers but our experience and knowledge.
"The team is knitting together nicely, and working well with our 45 self-employed assessors and 20 surveyors too."
GoWarm was been established with £835,000 worth funding from Defra's Community Energy Efficiency Fund (CEEF).
