BUSINESSES are being encouraged to share best practice in dealing with waste on a relaunched website.
The website covers issues such as dealing with fly-tipping, advice on reducing waste and expert guidance on waste legislation.
Arwyn Jones, programme manager for the campaign at the Environment Agency, said: "The website was originally launched in October 2005 and has become an essential source of information for those involved in the waste industry.
"More than 500 registered members, including businesses who produce waste and waste regulators, have made it the success it is. "
New features on the site include an online forum, an advice centre with information on legislation and a spotlight on pressing items of interest to business.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs funds the website through its business resource efficiency and waste programme. It can be visited on www.wastematters. org.uk
