GABRIEL NICHOLLS, one of the best-known potters in Yorkshire, has joined the York Handmade Brick Company.
He has taken up residence in York Handmade's new £750,000 building at its headquarters in Alne, near Easingwold, and is producing flowerpots.
Mr Nicholls was one of the founders of the Yorkshire Flowerpot Company.
David Armitage, chairman of York Handmade, said: "We are delighted to welcome Gabriel to our company. He is a superb potter and his exciting range of pots adds a fascinating and welcome new dimension to our portfolio of products.
"Our new special products buildings, which has just opened, is the perfect base."
