McInerney Homes NE has made a £2.35 m investment in new premises, to merge the company's three offices across the North-East. The new office, at Rainton Bridge is just off the A690, close to Houghton le Spring and will be the new home for over 50 staff from the McInerney base in Fishburn, the former Lancing Homes office in South Shields and the former Bowey Homes base in Team Valley, Gateshead.
Boasting 11,000 square feet, the new office will enable the company to forge forward in its bid to be one of the region's largest home builders.
McInerney Homes NE has almost doubled in size over the last few months. After acquiring Bowey Homes last year, the company experienced a period of organic growth, resulting in new developments with exciting and innovative plans coming to fruition.
Early this year they also acquired Lancing Homes, adding 400 homes across four developments to their portfolio.
The focus has recently been on retaining the best from all three companies.
Barry Smith, managing director of the North-East region, which is one of six divisions the Ireland-based builder has across the Midlands and north of England, said: "Our new office is great news for all the team at McInerney Homes NE. For the last few months we have been operating from three locations as the business has grown. Rainton Bridge is at the centre of our area of operations and with the team under one roof for the first time, this move should help to ensure our continued success and growth in the region."
