City & Northern has instructed DTZ and Naylors to sell Waverley, Market Dock, a high-specification development of office buildings offering a rare opportunity for businesses in South Shields to acquire new premises.
Due to be launched this month, the scheme comprises a total of 2,118.12 sq m over ten individual offices from 167.22 to 278.7 sq m, available to lease or purchase.
Within walking distance of South Shields town centre, Market Dock has been sympathetically designed to fit comfortably between the town centre and the new residential development fronting the River Tyne.
Colin Davidson, from DTZ, said: "South Shields has never before seen a new, quality office development available for smaller occupiers to lease or purchase in the town centre.
"Waverley, Market Dock, is indicative of City & Northern's innovative approach to speculative development and embraces the needs of modern professional firms."
Cath Cannon, of City & Northern, said: "South Shields is currently experiencing growth and the completion of the second Tyne Tunnel over the next decade will only add to this.
"We are confident the units are not on the market for long."
Offices at Waverley Market Dock are available leasehold from £143.16 per sq m and freehold from £280,000 exclusive.
