AN accountancy firm has taken on eight trainees to strengthen its North-East team.
Baker Tilly, which has offices in Newcastle, says the recruits will work across its audit, corporate finance and accounting and financial reporting practices.
Jack Smith, Rory Sewell, Shea Waters, George Philipson and David Matthias have all joined the audit faculty, with Amy Thorns and Danielle Carrick members of the accounting and financial reporting team.
Charlotte Rogers has joined the corporate finance practice.
The will now start an intensive training course and will begin studying towards professional qualifications.
Steve Railton, Baker Tilly North-East office managing partner, said: “It’s fantastic we’ve been able to take on so many new starters; this is an exciting time for them to join.
“These trainees are the future and it is important we continue to invest in the best talent the region has to offer.”
Mr Railton added all the permanent trainees are expected to become fully-qualified in the next three years.
