A TEES Valley borough will run a series of events next week aimed at helping people to become self employed.
Stockton Enterprise Week will see the borough council, local businesses, charities and schools working together to encourage entrepreneurship.
The week, running from November 14 to 18 will include a range of workshops and activities.
Enterprise Gateways, a partnership of business support agencies across Stockton, are also offering drop-in sessions.
Stockton Council's cabinet member for regeneration and transport, Councillor Mike Smith, said: "Stockton Enterprise Week is all about raising awareness about how people can develop their enterprise skills and realise their ambitions.
"We're working with a whole range of partners, including Avanta, Digital City, Enterprise Made Simple, Five Lamps and the Borough's schools - everyone is welcome to take part, whether working or not, and we particularly want young people to think in enterprising ways."
Five Lamps will be running e-commerce sessions while Digital City
is inviting existing businesses to make an appointment with an experienced business mentor
On Tuesday November 15 Stockton Borough residents are invited to take part in a free workshop based on the Monopoly Game to explore early stage business ideas.
