CONTRACTORS in the North-East have been invited by developer Wates Living Space to join its regional supply chain.
The company is holding a series of Meet the Buyer interviews in Durham City to offer smaller local contractors the opportunity to win business in new-build and refurbished housing projects, and planned maintenance works.
Wates Living Space is working on projects across the region, including East Durham Homes’ Decent Homes programme which is investing in council homes and in two multi-million pound projects in Newcastle.
The Meet the Buyer interviews take place on July 27.
The trades required include joinery, brickwork, tiling, painting, plastering and landscaping.
Attendance is by appointment only and contractors are asked to email virtuosa.con sulting@ymail.com for an application form. Forms must be returned by June 24 to secure a potential interview.
Joanne Jamieson, of Wates Living Space, said: “We are holding this event to build more links with businesses in the region and ingratiate them into our supply chain.
This will allow us to identify strengths in the market and deliver quality homes for North-East tenants.”
