A DELEGATION from the Swedish renewable energy industry is to be introduced to firms working in the North- East supply chain next week.
As part of the visit, Durham City-based energy business development organisation NOF Energy has arranged a networking seminar at Beamish Hall, near Stanley, County Durham.
Consisting of companies and research institutions, the Swedish delegation represents a market with potential for offshore wind developments in the Baltic Sea, with a number of projects planned by companies including E.ON, Blekinge Offshore and WPD Scandinavia.
NOF Energy’s director of business development Joanne Leng said: “The dynamic Swedish wind power market is characterised by strong growth and planned projects, which presents strong opportunities for UK companies.
“This event will showcase the quality of the North-East supply chain to the delegation and help facilitate new contacts and partnerships between UK and Swedish companies interested in the mutual business opportunities.”
The event takes place on Monday from 2pm to 6pm.
