MAJOR players in the growing offshore wind farm sector will be outlining supply chain opportunities to firms in the North-East and North Yorkshire next week.
Speakers at the UK Crown Estates supply chain event at York Racecourse, on Thursday, will include Clipper, which is building a factory on the banks of the Tyne, and Siemens, which recently revealed interest in setting up an offshore wind turbine plant on the Humber. Other participants include Hartlepool based JDR cables, GE Energy, Gamesa and Mitsubishi, which have all committed to setting up factories in the UK.
