ONE of the Yorkshire Dales’ oldest inns has launched a tax-saving incentive package for businesses following its recent upgrade.
The 17th Century Wensleydale Heifer, which has recently undergone a £400,000 expansion to create a boutique hotel, is aiming the package at employers looking for new and taxefficient ways to reward staff.
It has introduced vouchers offering meals in the award-winning restaurant or short stays in one of the luxurious themed rooms. The vouchers will be offered to businesses at a discounted rate, allowing employers to make savings on income tax and National Insurance (NI) contributions.
An employer only pays income tax and NI on the purchase cost of the voucher, rather than the value to the recipient.
The cost of the vouchers ranges from £60 to £450 for a choice of incentives, ranging from a lobster dinner for two to a luxury stay-and-dine break.
