A NORTH-EAST-BASED digital marketing firm is planning to increase its workforce after helping a menswear retailer to double online sales.

Fifteen Digital, based in Darlington, has helped Terraces Menswear, which sells its products across the country online as well as from its shop in Stokeon- Trent, double its annual online revenues in two months.

Order numbers have increased from an average of 60 per month to more than 300.

As well as increasing its online presence, the digital sales surge will now allow the company to double the size of its store onto two floors.

Fifteen Digital employs 11 people and plans to add to its workforce in the coming months.

Director John Borthwick said: “We believe running your online shop should be as easy as internet banking. We are actively growing our online marketing arm and development team. These two areas complement each other and we wish to focus on taking new businesses online and promoting them or redeveloping existing online businesses and making the medium work for them.

“We are also looking to team up with other web development agencies who may want to offer online marketing services to their clients, but do not have the skill set inhouse.”

Terraces owner James Turner said: “Fifteen’s software has allowed us to have more confidence in offering online specials, safe in the knowledge that products will sell at those prices.

“In 2011, we expect online sales to represent 33 per cent of our total revenue streams.”
