MOTOR racing icon Sir Jackie Stewart and the boss of one of Formula One’s newest teams are to inspire business people in the North-East.

Chief executive of Virgin Racing Graeme Lowdon will introduce the triple F1 world champion at a Burns Night event staged by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum in the Baltic, Gateshead, next week.

Sir Jackie transferred his skills in the cockpit to be successful in the boardroom.

Chief executive of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum Carole Beverley said: “There can be no better speaker for a Burns event than Sir Jackie. His uncanny eye for opportunity has served him well both on the track and off and has proved to be his greatest asset in his hugely successful business life.

“Graeme has been a dedicated member of the Forum from day one and now contributes as a valuable board director.

“His rise to the pinnacle of motorsport while also establishing and growing his own outstanding business makes us very proud to count him among our membership.”

The event is on Monday at 6.30pm. For more details and to book a place, visit entrepreneursforum.net
