FORMER public sector workers using their redundancy pay-offs to invest in franchises are among those helping to boost demand at a Darlington based business.
The Franchise Company, a firm of specialist advisors and consultants, has experienced a 50 per cent increase in inquiries.
Director Ken Rostron said: “Individuals are leaving the public sector in large numbers and often with significant redundancy packages.
“As well as being in a position to invest in a franchise, franchisees bring the commitment that is necessary to get any business off the ground because they benefit directly from their efforts and are generating both an income and creating a future asset for themselves.”
