TEESSIDE-BASED TTE Technical Training Group has appointed Steve Grant as its new managing director, to succeed Keith Hunter who retires in May.
Mr Grant, who has been finance and services director at the organisation for seven years, said that one of his priorities would be to develop TTE’s apprenticeship programme by working closely with schools, parents and young people.
TTE provides industryspecific technical training and is one of the largest UK-based providers of training for the oil and gas, process, manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Mr Grant said: “The TTE Technical Training Group has grown substantially locally, nationally and globally under the stewardship of Keith Hunter and I am looking forward to the exciting challenge of taking on the role of managing director.
“Our priority is to continue to build strong partnerships with employers who we can work closely with to address future skills requirements through the implementation of industry-relevant apprenticeship programmes.”
