A FIRM is encouraging mobile phone users to recoup some money after Christmas by cashing in their unwanted handsets.
Web design agency Edward Robertson, which has offices in Darlington and Newcastle, set up mobile phone comparison site, sellmyoldmobile phone.co.uk, to help customers get the best deals on their old phones.
The site offers up to £180 for old mobiles, and, unlike other price comparison sites, it features a historic tracking device, allowing consumers to monitor how much they would have received if they had traded in their phone earlier.
Graham Miller, director of Edward Robertson, said: “With Christmas over, it’s important that consumers know there is a way they can get money back for their unwanted phones. Instead of letting mobiles fill up landfill sites and damage the environment, we are offering people the chance to get paid for recycling.”
