A HAIR salon has joined other businesses in a historic market town by giving its facade a Georgian makeover.
Moore, in the market square in Richmond, North Yorkshire, is among several businesses to follow the advice of local planners, with a new powder blue exterior.
Business owner Andrea Moore sought the advice of a designer friend Trudi Brunskill and opted for a sea-side makeover for her salon.
She said: “I wanted that holiday feeling.
It’s turned out definitely more Southend-on-Sea than Ibiza. It’s a breath of fresh air.”
“My regulars are enchanted with the new look. It’s fresh and uplifting.
Ms Brunskill said: “Andrea wanted a touch of the sea-side. On a tight budget we needed to re-use what we could. Paint is famously transforming and to that we added two or three special touches, all found locally.”
