A NORTH-EAST telemarketing agency has set new sales records.

The Darlington branch of Great Guns Marketing, one of four offices of the company founded by the telemarketing guru Liz Jackson, surpassed sales targets after achieving a year-on-year turnover growth of 25 per cent, with profitability up by ten per cent.

The announcement comes after a successful start to the year when the company appointed two additional telemarketers, as well as celebrating a leap in renewed client accounts, up from 45 per cent of turnover to 55 per cent.

Stewart Booth, managing director of the Darlingtonbased franchise, said indications are for a successful period ahead, with sales growth of a further 25 to 30 per cent, client retention increasing to about 60 per cent, and another two people added to the team by the end of the year.

“It’s obviously been a tough couple of years for most businesses, but we’ve got a great team here who work incredibly hard,” he said.

“Where many businesses have chosen to be more cautious, we’ve driven sales activity hard and worked exceptionally hard on client satisfaction, all of which has paid off and ensured we continue to be one of the best providers in our sector.”
