A BANK has created the only business development team of its kind in the region, as it increases support for North- East companies.
The team is being launched by Yorkshire Bank’s Tees Valley and Newcastle Financial Solutions Centres. It will target businesses with turnovers of £5m to £50m from Newcastle to Thirsk as part of its commitment to lend a further £1bn to businesses in the North-East in the next two years.
The team is being led by senior partner David Filby and will draw on business banking specialists from both financial solutions centres.
Mr Filby said: “We have launched this team so we can continue to identify trading businesses, which require support. Emergence from recession poses many challenges and this specialist team wants to ensure that the right help is available.”
