AN event to inspire and support young entrepreneurs across the region is being held next week.

Aimed at ambitious young people from the region’s schools and colleges, Use Your Loaf, on Wednesday, is the idea of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, and follows on from the success of its first youth conference, Cloud9, last year that attracted more than 1,200 young people.

The free event, which will be held at the Rainton Meadows Arena, Tyne and Wear, will be hosted by chief executive of the Amazing Group Paul Campbell, and will hear from a line-up of young entrepreneurs from across the UK.

Dan Germain, from Innocent Smoothies, will look at areas including how to get noticed without spending a lot.

The event will also feature Emily Cummins, 23, named the Future 100 Young Entrepreneur of the Year, the creator of products including a sustainable non-electric refrigerator which enables developing countries to refrigerate medicines and food without electricity.

Fraser Doherty, 21, will talk about how he secured a deal with a major supermarket chain for his SuperJam brand, which uses 100 per cent pure super fruits such as blueberries and cranberries, and Dragons’ Den star Rob Law will discuss how he launched his Trunki children’s luggage.
