STAFF at law firm Sintons have raised money to buy equipment to help make life easier for a fiveyear- old disabled girl.

The firm raised £2,500 through a series of fundraising events to buy a bed for Chloe Gilbert, who suffers from cerebral palsy, severe epilepsy and is registered blind.

The bed – a Belluno Profiling Bed – will last Chloe for life, as it can be adapted as she gets older.

Its pressure-relieving mattress will mean Chloe is more comfortable at night and her mother can give her the care she needs much more easily and safely.

Chloe and her mother, Denise, visited Sintons’ offices in Newcastle to receive the gift, along with a pink fluffy dressing gown and flowers.

Lloyd Williams, a solicitor at Sintons and a committee member of Variety Club North-East, said: “This is a deserving family who it’s been rewarding to be able to help. We’ve held quiz nights, dress-down days and raffles to raise the money.

“It was great to meet Chloe and Denise, and for them to come to our offices and meet some of the people who raised the money.”
