LAW firm Dickinson Dees has played a central role in a deal that will simplify the provision of work experience in North Yorkshire.

The York office of the law firm provided legal advice for the North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership (NYBEP) to acquire education specialist Edexcel’s Trident service in York.

Trident helps young people improve their skills, as well as making the work placement process as easy as possible for employers, pupils, schools and colleges.

Through a range of workrelated learning activities, NYBEP helps schools and colleges enrich the curriculum, businesses actively engage in the development of their future workforce, and learners better understand their skills and future choices.

Matthew Smith, an associate with the corporate team in the York office of Dickinson Dees, said: “This is a perfect complementary fit. NYBEP were already providing this work experience service for schools and colleges in North Yorkshire, so it made sense to take over Edexcel’s Trident provision for York.”
