A NORTH-EAST based mortgage lender has won national recognition for the way it treats its customers.
Darlington Building Society has won the Treating Customers Fairly title at the Mortgage Finance Gazette (MFG) Awards, held in London.
The awards are open to mortgage lenders throughout the country and this accolade brings the society’s collection of MFG awards to eight, more than any other lender of any size.
Sheena Hunter, Darlington Building Society district manager with particular responsibility for the Northallerton branch and the North Yorkshire region, said: “Treating customers fairly is a vital part of our role and one we care passionately about.
“It is always reassuring, however, when our efforts are recognised by independent judges.”
