SPECIALIST maintenance company Stone Technical Services has helped to restore one of the region’s most prominent Victorian buildings.
Darlington-based Stone is working on Gateshead Old Town Hall, a Grade II-listed building which last year underwent a £1.7m restoration.
Stone, in a £30,000 contract, is working to install a gantry ladder system internally to allow essential maintenance.
Managing director Dave Stone said: “We were able to carry out the necessary work efficiently and in a way to further enhance the recently completed refurbishment.”
