NEWCASTLE University Business School has embarked on a partnership with Groningen University in the Netherlands.
An official contract was signed between Professor John Leopold, deputy director of the business school, and Frans Zwarts, the Rector Magnificus of the university, to mark a dual masters award offered in partnership by the two universities. It will see students study at both universities during their course.
The partnership is the latest in a long line of international links the business school has established, which include educational institutions in China, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Europe.
The business school will see its first intake of students from the dual masters awards in advanced international business management and marketing arrive this month.
Prof Leopold said: “I am delighted this exciting venture has been launched and look forward to welcoming the students to Newcastle.
“These unique programmes require students to undertake an intensive programme of study at both of the universities over a period of 16 months. Upon successful completion the students will receive an award from each of the institutions.”
