STAFF at a North-East law firm who have been working through an office refurbishment have won the chance to be pampered.
Swinburne and Jackson recently underwent a significant refurbishment at its Gateshead head office, meaning upheaval and inconvenience for its staff.
As a result, the firm has won a month’s worth of pampering treats for its staff, courtesy of The Northern Echo in conjunction with Serenity in the City day spa.
The spa, in Jesmond, Newcastle, will now give members of the Swinburne and Jackson team the chance to have a facial every week for a month at 2pm, to combat the midafternoon lull in energy levels.
The winning entry came from Rachel Burns, PA to the managing partner at Swinburne and Jackson, who said the facials would be a well-deserved treat for staff now the refurbishment is complete.
She said: “The firm is undergoing lots of positive but challenging developments, and as part of this, there has just been a significant office refurbishment, during which all staff have worked extremely hard and have been incredibly patient during the inconvenience, which has included lots of banging, dirt and general fuss.”
Jocelyn Maxfield, owner of Serenity in the City, said: “Congratulations to Swinburne and Jackson on winning the Serenity in the City facial prize for its team.
“After enduring an office refurbishment and working through all the disruption they really deserve it.
“So, after a bit of stress, they can look forward to some serenity with an afternoon facial that will leave them energised and ready to roll.”
