TWO brothers are keeping it in the family by supporting each other’s business ventures.
Paul Reed, 39, who runs online business Express Envelopes, has relocated his company to become the second tenant at Newcastle Business Village, which is owned by his older brother, Mark.
Paul, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the print and direct mail industry, launched his business a year ago from an office in Gosforth, after spotting a gap in the market for affordable envelopes in any quantity.
Increased trade led to the move to Newcastle Business Village, a development offering managed premises to small and micro-businesses, run by husband and wife team Mark and Helen Reed.
Paul hopes that the move will allow him to expand his business further.
He said: “I didn’t just plug for Newcastle Business Village because it was my brother’s business; I looked at lots of commercial space in Tyneside.
“It really does suit us down to the ground.”
Mark Reed said: “We are delighted to welcome my brother’s business to Newcastle Business Village – after all we wanted the concept to be like one big family of businesses.”
