BUSINESSES will get a workout of a different kind at an event designed to help pave the way for success.

Email Yoga is one of the pre-conference workshops at Business Link’s Marketing: the art of conference, which is back for a second year to help North-East firms.

The event is being held at the Sage Gateshead on November 12, and speakers include brand specialist Harry Drnec, who reinvented the Red Bull brand, and Tim Smit, who had the vision for Cornwall’s Eden Project.

The sessions with a difference are an addition to the programme this year and will kick-start the day with some lateral thinking.

With firms increasingly relying on email, Email Yoga concentrates on how participants can gain control of their inbox and reduce email traffic.

Julie Spowart, events manager at Business and Enterprise North-East, which delivers the Business Link service in the region, said: “We increasingly rely on the internet to communicate, but this can sometimes lead to information overload. Email Yoga aims to provide nononsense strategies for email management.”

Other pre-conference sessions will look at the merits of social media platform Twitter and give tips on choosing the best business ideas. Visit marketingtheartof.com
