A HUSBAND and wife team are hoping to make a splash with the launch of their IT company aimed at helping small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) benefit from the latest technology.
Big Little Fish, based in Darlington, was set up by Rebecca Scally and husband Jeremy, after they moved to Mrs Scally’s home town from London.
The venture aims to provide IT solutions such as communications, cloud computing, disaster recovery and infrastructure and support.
Its approach is to review the requirements of an SME and then explain, in layman’s terms, the types of technologies available and how they can improve a business.
Mr Scally, who has 11 years experience in IT, provides the technical expertise for the fledgling company, while his wife, a former account handler for Universal Music International, handles the accounts and business development side of the business.
He said: “We believe our solutions can help the metaphorical little fish operate like the big fish in the pond.
“Advances in technology mean we are able to provide large corporate standard IT solutions at affordable prices, giving small companies access to big business IT.”
Mrs Scally said: “We are really enjoying working together.
The best part is that we seem to instinctively know what each other is thinking.
“We keep things structured by holding regular board meetings which we follow up with relevant action points.”
