A CHOCOLATIER and cake maker has launched its own website.
Robineau Patisserie, in West Auckland Road, Darlington, has gone online to show off its chocolates, pastries and wedding cakes.
The patisserie has established a strong following since opening two years ago, and achieved national publicity by making entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne’s wedding cake.
On the back of increasing demand, Robineau has created two full-time jobs – a front-of-house supervisor and a pastry chef.
The business was set up by Jane and Frederic Robineau. Mr Robineau is from the Loire Valley, France, and his wife is from Barnard Castle. They met while training as pastry chefs at London’s Connaught Hotel.
Mr Robineau said: “The business is doing well, and we felt it was time to expand to enable us to grow. And, of course, the launch coincides with the build-up to the festive season. People will be able to view our chocolates, celebration cake designs and also our handmade patisserie.
Orders can be either collected from the shop or delivered.”
