A HOTEL is creating up to 25 jobs by opening a new restaurant.
Beamish Hall Country House Hotel, near Stanley, County Durham, is converting the old stable block into a bar, restaurant and microbrewery.
The 750-year-old hotel is expecting to open The Stables on May 22 and source ingredients from a 35-mile radius of the hall.
Craig Nicholls, manager of The Stables, said, “The pub will have a traditional and cosy feel and where there will be a real emphasis on top quality food and drink.
“We will be serving eight hand-pulled cask ales, all of which will be brewed on site by our expert brewer, John Taylor. There will also be a great selection of English and Continental lagers and ciders, plus a selection of fine wines from around the world.”
