A TEESSIDE golf club is investing nearly £250,000 in upgrading its facilities.
The overhaul of the locker rooms, changing rooms, toilets and pro shop are the first improvements at Saltburn Golf Club in more than a decade. The project is being overseen by Gateshead-based Koru Construction.
An office and workshop is also being created at the club, which has more than 800 members, to comply with the Professional Golf Association.
Koru, owned by Tony Henderson and Mark Taylor, provides a complete range of construction services.
Mr Henderson, a member of Saltburn Golf Club, said: “We jumped at the chance to put a realistic quote to the club, as not only am I a member but the building lent itself perfectly to the ideas we created.
“We not only had the club secretary and board but also the opinions of more than 800 members.”
