Eversheds has been named as one of the Top 50 Places Where Women Want to Work in an annual awards scheme run by The Times.
The list showcases 50 of the UK's most progressive employers who use innovative methods to attract, retain and promote talented individuals.
The law firm, which has a base in Newcastle, has made efforts over the past five years to get more women on board, and was one of only three UK law firms in the list.
Adrian Stanley, senior office partner at Eversheds in Newcastle, said: "At Eversheds, roughly one quarter of women are represented at partner level - more than most other City law firms.
"This award comes at a great time as we continue to develop our diversity and inclusion strategy for the firm.
"Eversheds has always been a frontrunner in promoting the opportunities for female colleagues.
"When we introduced Life-style, our flexible working policy, back in 2002, it was a rare thing in the legal community, but it has given us real benefits as it has really helped us in attracting and retaining talent.
"We now have a strong pool of female talent at all levels across our business.
"It is great to have external recognition for our commitment to being a Great Place to Work, which is a stated aim in our firm's Vision and Values."
Entry to the Top 50 was open to private, public and academic organisations with 1,000 or more employees in the UK.
