CONSTRUCTION company Laing O'Rourke is using its partnership with a North-East college to help promote the sector to young people.
The firm, which has its regional base on Teesside, is working with Middlesbrough College to mark National Construction Week, which begins today.
Young people will be encouraged to get involved in events, including school visits, which have been organised to promote the construction industry as a future career.
Middlesbrough College and Laing O'Rourke have already launched a scheme to train apprentices, alongside ConstructionSkills, to help overcome a future skills shortage in the sector.
