A DESIGN agency is expanding and creating jobs after securing several high-profile clients.
Rufus has invested in facilities at Wylam Wharf on Sunderland's quayside and is taking on web technicians and a marketing manager to raise its profile.
Managing director Ian Wright said: "The company has seen a number of successes over the last few years and, as a result, we are undergoing considerable expansion with new premises, the creation of new positions and investment in new equipment."
Sunderland City Council helped with the company's latest expansion. Senior business development officer Neil Clasper said: "I know the directors of Rufus thought long and hard about the expansion and relocation, and considered a number of other options in other parts of the region.
"The new office is fantastic and I'm delighted they've chosen to invest in Sunderland."
