DURHAM Logistics College has received national recognition for its excellence in training and delivery.
The college, based at Langley Park, Durham, has been presented with the RBT Connect 2007 Trainer of the Year award for its success in providing Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council with a unique training programme.
RBT Connect was set up as a joint venture between the council and British Telecom in order to modernise the council's IT systems and business processes.
Durham Logistics College has been providing the training programme for the council for the past three years and is the only provider to receive special recognition from RBT.
College managing director Kevin Rumfitt said: "We offer a wide range of courses, which can be taught in-house to public sector clients, such as councils, government agencies and primary care trusts."
