DARLINGTON law firm Latimer Hinks is proving the town is a great place to do business.

The firm has a team of more than 50 people, serving private and corporate clients throughout Teesside, South Durham, North Yorkshire and beyond.

The team operates in specialisist, but integrated departments, providing a wide range of services.

Anne Elliott, a partner at Latimer Hinks, said: "Over the last five years or so, Latimer Hinks has attracted a number of talented solicitors and trainees, all eager to progress their careers.

"Law firms in towns such as Darlington with specialist solicitors can offer a high-quality of work and training, with easy commuting and the added benefit of a less stressful living environment, proving that the town can compete with the likes of Leeds or Newcastle in terms of training and retaining the best legal talent."

The firm, which has been heavily involved in a number of high-profile developments including the new Clinkards shop, in the town centre, the Otter and Fish, in nearby Hurworth, and Crabtree Hall, a rural diversification project near the A1, recently appointed two of its former trainees as partners.
