DURHAM Logistics College has launched a nationwide search to double the number of tutors.
The college is looking for 16 experts across a variety of disciplines to meet demand for its courses, taking its teaching staff total to 32.
After opening in 2002, the college, in Langley Park, County Durham, was the first organisation in the North-East to have its courses accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Managing director Kevin Rumfitt said: "As demand for our courses is far exceeding supply of tutors, we are looking for industry-experienced professionals who can pass on their first-hand knowledge and understanding to students."
The five core training areas provided by the college are logistics, purchasing, operations, leadership and export.
