RESTAURANT chain Joe Rigatonis has given one of its flagship North-East eateries a major makeover.
The refurbishment at the restaurant in Grange Road, Darlington, is part of a programme of investment by owner Paolo Arceri.
The revamped Joe's Bar downstairs has been open for several months and has been a hit with customers.
Mr Arceri has ploughed a further £80,000 into the restaurant and is creating a new entrance, decor and seating.
New menus have also been created.
The company's restaurant in Middlesbrough's Linthorpe Road is next in line for improvements.
It will feature an upstairs bar and function area, with increased seating in the downstairs restaurant.
Mr Arceri said: "We are much more than just a restaurant."
