SOFTWARE company Datawright is working international hours after winning a contract with a Dubai-based petroleum organisation.
The Washington, Wearside, company's Kingfisher ERP software has elevated it onto an international stage, and is used in oil and gas, field services and chemical and engineering industries.
To help fulfil its contract with Dubai, Datawright has recruited two members of staff - Sheilagh Sta and Paul Bicker - whose contracted hours are in line with Dubai's time difference and working week.
This means they work from 5am to 1pm, Sunday to Thursday.
David Frame, sales and marketing director said: "Datawright may be based in Tyne and Wear but this has not stopped us offering our overseas customers the same level of on-call support we offer our UK clients.
"We will do all we can to make the client feel at home with our business.
"In this case, by providing out-of-UK-hours support we can ensure that client queries are dealt with as quickly as possible and that there is always someone at the end of the phone to deal with immediate issues.
"The Dubai contract is pushing billions through our finance software, so world class support is critical."
