A BUSINESSWOMAN has launched a company in North Yorkshire to help people of all ages live healthier, more active lifestyles.
Sue Hardisty spent several years researching how improved eating habits and increased activity aids long-term health.
Her Harrogate company, Enjoy Healthy Living, was launched with the help of circus performers at the town's Family Go Live exhibition on May 26.
Supported by a team of health and lifestyle professionals, including Deborah Pufal, a nutrition and health expert from the University of Huddersfield, Ms Hardisty and her colleagues offer help and advice on issues such as healthy eating and nutrition, dietary analysis, weight management, corporate health and education and activity programmes for children.
There are also a series of learning materials and an in-depth website to compliment the programme.
Ms Hardisty, who is trained in nutrition and is a qualified aerobics instructor, will hold weekly classes around Harrogate.
She said: "We're the antithesis to a slimming club as we want to encourage people to make small changes to their diets and lifestyle for long-term gains."
