A FASHION chain which is making an big impact on the high street has exchanged contracts on a large store in the North-East.
The 37,500 sq ft building in Capital Shopping Centre's (CSC) redevelopment of Eldon Square, in Newcastle, will be New Look's largest store.
Debenhams has also exchanged contracts on an 180,000 sq ft department store which will anchor the ES South development, which is phase three of the £170m remodelling of Eldon Square shopping centre.
Work is expected to start later this year and be completed in early 2010.
The development is one of three CSC schemes at Eldon Square.
ES West was completed last year, providing stores along Blackettbridge and restaurants for Wagamama and Strada overlooking Old Eldon Square.
ES North will be completed in Spring next year. Part of the scheme includes the new bus station, which opened in March.
