GLASS maker Romag has revealed a 25 per cent increase in its half-year pre-tax profits, buoyed by strong sales of its specialist PowerGlaz product.
The firm, based in Consett, County Durham, said it was confident about future sales of the range, which turns the sun's rays into electricity, and that sales could surge further when a new production line is completed at its base in July.
Although Romag saw an eight per cent dip in turnover in the six months to March 31, the company said it was only a seasonal lapse, and was expected to rise in the second half of the year.
