THE director of project management group Faithful+Gould's (F+G) two North-East offices has been promoted to the position of managing director for the North of the UK and Ireland.
As well as directing and co-ordinating the offices in Newcastle and Stockton, George Murray will also oversee those in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin.
Having worked for F+G for 24 years, Mr Murray's promotion comes as part of a wider business re-shuffle of key members of staff which has been undertaken to redefine the UK business into four new regions.
"This is a period of exciting and positive change for the business and I am delighted to take up my new position, which will see me continue to be based in Stockton," he said.
"However, the new geographical regions now in my remit mean that I will be managing the largest region in the UK, with double the turnover and double the staff of my previous role.
"This in itself is a major logistical challenge I am keen to meet."
