FOOD manufacturer It's Nut Free plans to launch its latest product at a fair in North Yorkshire next month.
The Northallerton-based company, which supplies nut-free products to Sainsbury's, Morrisons and the NHS, will launch its low-sugar apricot and raisin baked bar at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair, in Harrogate.
It's Nut Free director and founder Angela Russell said: "Visitors to the Harrogate event will be the first to taste this new product, which was developed to meet the demand from consumers looking for a lower fat and lower sugar snack."
The business was set up in 2002 by Ms Russell, whose daughter Kirsty was diagnosed with a serious allergy to nuts when she was two.
It is the only company in the UK specialising in manufacturing nut-free products for nut allergy sufferers, and its range includes flapjacks, cereal, cakes, biscuits and confectionery.
Earlier this year, it was listed as the sole supplier of nut-free products to the NHS.
The fair is taking place at the Yorkshire Event Centre on June 17 and 18.
