A GROWING internet company has moved to a base almost 50 times the size of its original, only two years after its inception.
Wow Solutions, in Durham, has already built up a base of multi-national clients including Bank of Scotland, Ernst & Young and Sunderland and Middlesbrough football clubs.
To accommodate the demand and its plans for expansion, Wow has moved from its 150sq ft office at Belmont Business Park to a 6,500sq ft site at the nearby Dragonville Industrial Estate.
Director Stuart Meyers, who runs Wow with technical director Will Keenan, said significant investment in the business was paying dividends.
He said: "It is a really exciting time for us now. We stayed in our old offices as long as we could, but really had no choice but to move to bigger premises.
"We have been delighted with the way the business has grown in such a short time. We have acquired a lot of clients since we started up and really needed to move to bigger offices to meet the demand.
"We have an excellent relationship with our clients and feel it is vital to look after them from start to finish. That has given us a lot of repeat business and a lot of referrals."
As well as the company's major clients, Wow provides its services to an array of small North-East businesses.
Mr Meyers said: "We enjoy developing websites for our smaller clients just as much as those which are more established.
"Everyone is treated the same and we design everything from scratch, rather than using templates."
Mr Meyers previously worked as an IT consultant in the banking industry and Mr Keenan in video production, and both are delighted with how Wow is flourishing.
Mr Keenan said they had invested in the IT side of the business in particular, to ensure the security of their data.
He said: "We always wanted to work for ourselves and knew that with the experience we had, we could make it work."
