A NORTH-EAST trade delegation is aiming to help companies in the region forge better links with South Africa.
Durham County Council and Business Durham, the authority’s business division, are holding a breakfast meeting on Friday, November 28.
The event will be led by the High Commissioner for South Africa to the UK, Obed Mlaba.
Bosses say it will also provide preparation for a North-East trade mission to South Africa in March next year.
Dr Simon Goon, Business Durham managing director, said: “This is a marvellous opportunity to showcase County Durham’s template as the place for business and explore opportunities for international trade with South Africa.”
Dr Goon added one of the key areas for discussion at the event will be renewable energy.
The breakfast meeting takes place at the Radisson Durham between 7.45am and 9.15am.
