SPORTS Direct shareholders have agreed to deal that could see founder Mike Ashley and other staff offered a bonus pot worth up to £200m.
More than 60 per cent of shareholders at the sporting goods firm's annual general meeting agreed to implement the bonus scheme for 2015, which is based on the firm hitting certain targets.
Mr Ashley, who also owns Newcastle United and is the majority shareholder in Sports Direct, has never drawn a salary from his successful sporting business.
The company had announced the proposed resolution on June 9, seeking approval for the bonuses for Mr Ashley and other staff.
It is the board's fourth attempt to pass a bonus scheme over the last three years.
Sports Direct pulled an earlier attempt to award Mr Ashley more than £70m in shares in April.
At the time, investors raised concerns about the bonus scheme, including the fact that it did not include other company executives.
