FAST food firm McDonald's is creating 8,000 jobs.

Bosses say the posts will be filled over the next three years.

The firm says the expansion follows continued UK investment and growth, which saw £95m spent on new restaurants last year.

Jill McDonald, chief executive, said: "Our continued growth will enable us to further expand our workforce over the next few years, and in many cases give thousands of young people a valuable opportunity to start building their careers."

McDonald's has 1,200 restaurants across the UK and will employ 100,000 staff when the new jobs are created.
